Amazon Clipper
(4 days / 3 nights)

The best way to see the wonders of the Amazon is to move around in this wonderful environment and to be right in the middle of the jungle, especially during dawn and dusk, with Amazon Clipper boats designed exclusively for cruising the Amazon River and its tributaries. Each river boat offers double cabins with bunk beds, private toilet facilities and air-conditioning in the evening.

Day 1: Depart from the Tropical hotel landing stage at 2:30 p.m. Enjoy a welcome drink, meet the staff on board and commence your adventure. You will navigate upstream to the Pagodao River. Shortly before sunset, take a canoe trip with the possibility of observing nocturnal animals and perceiving the changes in the forest at night fall.

Day 2: This morning, walk in the forest with commentaries by the specialist guide. You will observe the flora, visit a "caboclo" family and be able to observe the local way of life. After lunch, the Clipper will navigate through the Anavilhanas, the world's largest fresh water archipelago. After dinner, you will go on a night trip to see caimans and, depending on the season, you will possibly get a chance to see frogs, sloths, snakes, and other species.

Day 3: Today you will visit the village of Novo Airao with its handicraft boat yards, sawmills, market, and more. After lunch, you will continue to Praia Grande or another white sand beach. Afterwards, you will enjoy a canoe trip to Lake Acajituba or an adjacent lake to see the typical flora. During the early evening, try your luck at fishing for piranhas. Dinner will be followed by a night trip to observe the caimans.
